Guest guest Posted August 25, 2003 Report Share Posted August 25, 2003 As many of you know, our boys went gfcf this summer and I'm still trying to move in a direction of buying more healthy foods for the whole family. I was wondering if any of you in the Houston area buy organic meats from a store or do you just order them through the mail? We're in the Spring area(Northwest) and, of course, I'd love to be able to go buy meats somewhere rather than mail order(if it's not more expensive than mail ordering) Also, all my kids really like fish and I would love to make it more often but I'm really worried about the mercury issue--for all of us--especially my boys who have autism. I usually buy farm raised catfish in the stores but recently read that even farm raised fish are tainted with mercury as well. The advice I read was to not eat ANY fish unless you are sure that whoever you are buying it from assures you that it's fish from pristine waters--free of mercury.
