Guest guest
youtube show people poping boils not for the weak Getting rid of boils My grandmother was an old Native American and told my mother how to cure boils. Make a paste of flour and honey and put it on the boil under a bandage. As soon as you put the paste on the boil it brings relief. The next morning it will have come to a head and you can remove it. It gets rid of carbuncles which is a mass of boils in one area. You may have to press lightly on the boil to get the head to come out. It will usually be a hard white thing. Try not to get any of the boil moisture on the rest of the body because the pus that comes out is full of germs. It is very contagious and many people get it from sheets in the hospital a few days after they get home. Sterilizing does not kill the germs or whatever causes it. I had boils when I was a little kid so I know of what I talk about. Thank God for my grandmother. And for heavens sake, drink your Kombucha. Guest guest
Our lot (Stone age Cumbrians) used to use a mix of soap and sugar, or even soggy bread, can't imagine why? Nn. England. Guest guest
>Does it matter what kind of flour is used? >Thanks, Jill~ I'm guessing we're still talking " Bread poultice " ? " When Ah waz a lad. " <We> didn't have a lot of choice, certainly there was none of this wholegrain stuff about. Mam (and Gran) probably used the equivalent of todays " Strong white " bread making stuff. Marge has a few years on me, she might remember. Nn. England. Guest guest
When I have used it myself, I made a paste and used white flour and honey. Let me tell you a story: My husband had an automobile junk yard. It was night time and very dark out. Our very large German Shepard started barking. My hubby went out there and walked up behind the dog to tell him to stop barking because he recognized who was out there. He touched the dog on his back as the dog was barking and the dog whirled around and nailed (bit) him on his right upper arm. Then the dog realized what he had done a fell down on the ground begging for forgiveness. My hubby knew it was his own fault for not talking to the dog before he touched him My hubby was concerned because the deep bite was not bleeding. He took a large board and pounded on his arm several times to try to make it bleed. It did not. He pounded on it again. Nothing. He came in the house and tried to put hot water on it. Nothing. I made up the poultice of white flour and honey. As soon as I applied it, the blood came pouring out. He was then satisfied that the wound was clean and we bandaged it up. It healed fine. End of Story. > > Does it matter what kind of flour is used? > Thanks, Jill~ >
