Guest guest
Someone on the list offered to send me a scoby and some kefir. I think her name was . For the life of me I cannot find that post. I am so excited and have so many people that I would like to help with this that I am anxious to get some. Would you kindly re-email me and apology to the list. M

Guest guest
RE starters I'm going to just jump in here and say that I have contacted about five or six people from both the kefir list and the kombucha list and no one has contacted me regarding starters. I am eager to get started. Any suggestions? Bastienne Marcella <lindamarcella@...> wrote: Someone on the list offered to send me a scoby and some kefir. I think her name was . Guest guest
It is my opinion that the list isn't updated often. I contacted people and received responses 2 weeks later. Maybe they used " spam " email addresses that they don't check often. I will have some in a few days and will be happy to share as soon as I have extras. Guest guest
Margret. Sorry if I offended you. I actually thought I removed that part of my message before I sent it. (oops) I wasn't referring to the list owner, actually. It was completely worded wrong, which is why I meant to remove it. I understand that people have busy lives. I meant that there was 1 person who advertised that they were looking for starters on a site that is for people who are offering them. Their listing is still there, several weeks (more than a month) later, which to me meant that, they either didn't get a response or they forgot to update their listing. One person responded that they don't ship anymore, but their ad is still there. Another responded that they don't check that email account often, and apologized for it, saying that they forgot about it. That's what I meant - that the people don't update their listings often. Guest guest
Hi Bastienne, If you are in the UK I can help. Margret:-) Earwig Oh again. My favourite moan. ;-)) We are told that it is decidedly NOT a good idea to publish personal details for the world to see. But wouldn't it be nice to know, at least, which continent the writer was on? I know one of the groups was stirred to a roll call, but it doesn't help 'coz one can't remember all 3,130 members' locations. Nn. England. Guest guest
Personally speaking when people contact me I only respond to those that come across as polite and friendly. When people start begging and make out like they're a charity case/worker I move on to the next mail. Also when the poster can't be bothered to actually add anything to the standard text I hit the delete button. After all if they can't be bothered to go the trouble of typing why should they expect the receiver to go to the trouble of typing a reply, preparing, packing, stamping, posting, etc. Crazy. Anyway that's my gripe for the day over. lol.
