Guest guest
Dear MArge:) I must admit that there was a long time that I stayed off the web entirely not just the list, so it is very possible that my mailbox got full and I didn't get your message, please know that I would have gladly replied. It is so good to see you are still going strong:)) If you aren't a testament to the power of Kombucha, I don't know who is!! You certainly are a shining example. I wish I had followed your lead. Once I get brewing again, I don't think I'll ever let myself go dry again. Thanks for the welcome back. You know what they say..., " There's no place like home;)))) " Luv, Sprite " When you drink the water, remember the spring. Guest guest
Ed and Sharon, Thank you. I appreciate the welcome back. And Sharon, dear-heart, You sure know how to make a person feel good. Thanks a whole bunch:)) And, I have to say I am already working on increasing my water intake, so it won't be a problem when I get back to drinking KT. Altho I haven't slacked off too much, I still need to get back to where I was. Since moving to the country, we have well water and we installed a filtration system that has five filters. One is a whole house filter, and then our drinking and cooking water goes through four more, the last being an osmosis filter, so I really love the water. No chlorine or chemicals of any kind. Do you think this water is okay for KT? I personally think it is but am wondering if I'm overlooking something. Luv, Sprite " When you drink the water, remember the spring. Guest guest
Yes Margret, I surely do count my blessings. When we were in the city, I had to buy bottled water for drinking, cooking and KT. The tap water just couldn't be trusted even when boiled it looked brown and nasty. And in addition, the air pollution was horrible between the auto pollution and the city incinerator which had to be shut down because it was pouring so much pollution into the air. So I am more than thankful for the trees and fresh air and clean water. And of course a great place to brew KT;)))) Luv, Sprite " When you drink the water, remember the spring. Guest guest
Hi Sprite, I am a total newby, but thought I would chime in the welcome and encourage you b/c I am sure you are not as " dried up " as you might think. I teach fitness (for the last 24 yrs, I started young! : ) and I have found that " the body NEVER forgets " . For example, if I get a very deconditioned ex-runner, as soon as they get going again, they run circles around those of us who came to fitness later in life or never ran. I bet that it's similar with ex-KT consumers, pretty soon, you will be brewing up a storm and helping those of us that are starting out. Hurry up, I need some of that vast expertise just as soon as you're ready. hugs, millie

I just had a hip replaced and my body is remembering how to walk without dragging and limping. Very good!! And I must add that I think kombucha had a great influence on my clean hospital stay and total recovery. I swear by it!! Millie " I'm not too sure, mine has forgotten how to run. Can you imagine Grandpa running after kid, in play, and purposely taking very short, fast strides. Hold that image. There we were, half way between car and cafe en route to a brew when I remembered my book. I used to be fair to middling good and was picked to run Cross country for the county about 45yrs. ago. My brain set off to lope effortlessly the dozen yards or so to the car. My legs were, to say the least, reluctant. The result was somewhat akin to the picture you are holding onto. I found it was *<much>* faster to walk with my normally overlong " Fell-top " stride than to use the run/hobble which occurred. [{;-)) Nn. England. Guest guest
<<I'm not too sure, mine has forgotten how to run.>> , , my dear dearest bloke, It's like KT, you can't get all the great fizz and wonderful taste on the first brew after getting the scoby out of the mailbox!!! You need some good starter and you need a couple of rounds b/f you regain the full flavor and pizazz. Consider that dash to the car your first brew, now go again, don't stop. I expect the " gazelle " in you back very soon Keep me posted, ok? ; ) ; ) ; ) millie
