Hi Lori, Do you know if he is still with Cigna insurance? I looked but he didn't show up under providers. Does anyone know if my son's pediatrician can order these tests and have the insurance pay for them? a

Guest guest
a, Call his office. I paid for my 1st appointment out of pocket because I didn't see him on the Cigna web site. When I got to his office, he told me he'd been with Cigna for 10 years. At the time I needed a referral from my pediatrician for Cigna to pay for a *Specialist*. He wasn't in the Humana book either. But I called his office & they accept Humana. Best wishes, Lori In a message dated 7/19/03 12:24:29 PM Central Daylight Time, flutterby025@... writes: > > >I'm taking my son to see Dr. Rao again the 1st week of August. > >He has been on the my last two insurance plans (Cigna & Humana). > > Hi Lori, > > Do you know if he is still with Cigna insurance? Guest guest
We have been seeing Dr. Rao since January. He does file insurance. He does require payment up front for testing at Great Plains and then will reimburse what they end up collecting. My first visit ran me almost $800 but we got about half that back on insurance (we did buy a few supplements). My monitoring appointments cost my co-pay only. We have done 2 secretin infusions and he files for the IV part of the procedure but we pay $150 for the secretin and $20 for the glutathione. We have been quite happy with our treatment so far. Basically between the ages of 2 and 4 our son just got older, hardly any more skills. Once we added the biomedical interventions, we are making MEASURABLE progress in all areas at least at the rate of one month progress per month of therapy with biomedical. Guest guest
We have been seeing Dr. Rao since October 2003, and we are very pleased with our daughter's progress and with Dr. Rao's approach. He is knowledgeable, flexible, and very supportive. Blessings! Re: Dr. Rao > We have been seeing Dr. Rao since January. Guest guest
We are seeing Dr. Rao for the first time next month. I am unfamiliar with all of the testing you are talking about but-- what insurance do you have? We have BCBS HMO. I have no idea what they will or will not cover as my childs diagnosis (pdd) is so new. Thanks! >From: " momto4intx " <adcornell@...> >Reply-Autism Treatment >Autism Treatment >Subject: Dr. Rao >Date: Sun, 22 Aug 2004 01:32:45 -0000 > >We have been seeing Dr. Rao for a year and have great experiences >with him.
