Thick baby - step by step me through?

Please walk me through the production of a respectable baby.

So far, I produce smaller and thinner babies each time...until I have just a bit

of scum!

Somebody here said to create a good thick baby in a separate container, and not

worry about

drinking that particular batch - so I am ready to do this -

Right now, I have my new orig. mama, and the 4x1/8 baby and 2 grandbabies that

are about

3 " x 1/8 " .

Can I use the 4 " x1/8 " baby (2 weeks old or so) in a quart mason jar, and let it

sit many weeks

to produce a good 'new' culture for the near future? Could I place this baby

in with 1/2 cup

starter KT and about a cup of sweet tea, and will that grow a good new baby if I

allow it to go

all the way to vinegar?
