Guest guest
Hi Jan and Everyone, I don't think people use organic tea and organic sugar because of the taste. It seems to me that it might be a bit more natural with less toxic substances. I'm also concerned about minerals. So I'm considering adding a very small amount of Himalayan sea salt to my water next time I add sweet tea to my brew. Sometimes it's just not about the taste. To Your Health, ann --- " Jan P. Guest guest
-thats pretty ironic that you say it tastes like gingerale because my first tea i had was organic green tand jasmine and 2 days or so ago i had a little kt party and used up 2 gal.so i went to the co-op and they didnt have what i reaallly wanted(which was more of the same)so i got organic green tea w/snow lotus and it tastes just abot like gingerale does.very strange because snow lotus does not smell like ginerale at all,it smells more flowery.i forgot to mention that i only use organic sugar as well.it really doesnt matter to me much what it tastes like,as long as its good for ya.i am so new at this that i really havent tried any other flavors, but im sure i will once i get bored a little with drinking the same thing day after day. peace,Jen -- In kombucha tea , " Jan P. We are in a remote area 2 hours from the nearest town of any size that even have good selection of tea........BTW if any of you out there have any special Holiday blends for the Christmas season......that can't miss recipe please share it with us!!! Margaret...Bev....Zoe...........Sandy....etc...etc you that have been brewing for sometime......I " m sure you have some killer recipes that would work in the Holiday season.......Please do share with us some of your past Kombucha party successes!!! Guest guest
Is the sea salt for taste and zing? Does sea salt help with minerals as well? We didn't like the sea salt brew (teasp. per gallon.) > > > A few weeks ago I decided to try just plain ole > > black tea (Lipton's decaf) and plain ole white > > sugar, because I read that many do that. Guest guest
Oh, I know. I am already hooked on using the organics. I just wanted to try it and was surprised by the smell and taste. Experiment over. :oP When I am feeling better I will try experimenting with different teas, not too many, just want to try WOG. Right now I am using black and green (decaf'g them) and usually adding a couple of raspberries after bottling. jan maryann peterson <chpeter30096@...> wrote: Hi Jan and Everyone, I don't think people use organic tea and organic sugar because of the taste.
