I would like to give a summary but I would be missing the part where

I had to walk out because my loud crying and hiccupping was

disturbing the people around me. Even my son's therapists were all

choked up.

I believe she read excerpts from her book or an article --is that

right? She was a Harvard educated woman in the 50s, dealing with an

extremely difficult husband that had a " broken child " --as he

perceived Temple.

I could probably ramble on about this beautiful portrayal but it

would just not have the effect of this extremely eloquent woman.

Perhaps someone would like to attempt this.

A tape of her talk may be on the CASD website. It is worth getting if you

didn't hear her at the conference.
