Kathy Everett DISNEY ON ICE WITH THEIR HANDSGEORGIA ACADEMY FOR THE BLIND STUDENTSTO EXPERIENCE DISNEY ON ICE WITH THEIR HANDSMACON ? Many of us take our sight for granted, but students at the GeorgiaAcademy for the Blind (GAB) don?t have that luxury. These amazing students refuse to let impaired vision stop them from taking part in manyof the same activities as their sighted peers. Sometimes, however, it takes a partner to provide the experience of a lifetime. Thanks to the Disney On IceSM Blind Touch Tour, GAB students will have a unique opportunity to learn what goes into a performance of Beauty and the Beast. The students will ?see" the magic of Disney On IceSM with their hands. Held at the ice rink edge, they will have a unique opportunity to meet thesome of the stars of Beauty and the Beast and feel the props and costumeswith their hands. They will also be allowed to ice skate with the performers and experience a three-minute sneak preview of the show.?Our staff and students are very appreciative for this once-in-a-lifetimeexperience,? said Georgia Academy for the Blind Director Dorothy Arensman.?The students are truly excited about this extra special event scheduledjust for them.?The event will take place at 1:00pm on Thursday, October 28th at the MaconCentreplex Coliseum located at 200 Coliseum Drive in Macon, Georgia.MEDIA ACCESS INFORMATION: Media interested in attending this wonderful event are asked to obtain clearance through Windy M.
