Guest guest
You are all great! I will shade my KT jar on the top of the fridge from the fluorescent light...the brew did 'make' but I've had little time to think of KT making, since mom is very involved in cancer treatment right now. The gallon I was making went to sour vinegar by the time I got to it. I'll write again when I have time, as I'm the caregiver she relies on. Keep brewing, keep writing and I'll read the daily posts as time permits!
Guest guest
....and another thought for ya'...if you have the space consider putting a thick book...maybe phone book, under your jar to distance the closeness of the metal fridge and diffuse the strength of the electrical vibration of the fridge...just giving your culture a few less stressors to deal with and end results in tuffer scobies. I use two inches of book or wood if there is no other space than metal shelving.....Cheers, Dellen Thanks for the replies... You are all great!
