Guest guest
HB 4, Thimerosal, MMR, and Eli Lilly Whether you believe there is or there is not a link between Thimerosal, the MMR vaccine and autism, there is a link with HB 4, a tort reform bill to be heard by the Senate Committee on State Affairs on Monday, April 7. While efforts in Washington to absolve vaccine manufacturers of liability are being stemmed, see link, http://stabenow.senate.gov/press/2003/031903ThimerosalRedux.htm the efforts here in Texas are more formidable. What Senator Bill Frist was not able to accomplish in Congress, the Texas Legislature will if HB 4 becomes law without the removal of language in Articles 2, Settlement and Article 5, Medicines. HB 4 affects all Texans. An excellent analysis of the bill, as it was heard in the House, can be found at the link below. An excerpt: " This bill will make it impossible for injured people and their families to hold irresponsible manufacturers accountable for dangerously defective products like thimerosal, vaccines contaminated with SV40, Firestone tires, diet drugs like Fen-Phen, and defective child car seats.
