Guest guest
This seems to be the biggest bunch of nonsense. We applied and received eligibility for the natural support waiver. We were told there was no funding available, however, and referred to GA Community Support and Solutions for funding. Called them and they sent an application. Spent an hour filling it out only to read they don't deal with Cobb County when it comes to Autism/DD program. Told me to call Cobb Comm. Services, and that agency gave me another phone number. When I finally spoke to the correct person, I was asked about our income and told that we would have 100% responsibility and eligible for no funding. Whatever!! The first agency who decided our eligibility didn't ask for income requirements, only needs of the child. And they certainly don't take into effect all of the unreimbursed medical, special diet, supplements. Seems if you're poor or rich, you can get what your child needs, but not if you're somewhere in the middle. What a waste of time!
