Guest guest
Tammy, Thank you so much for your insight! I know this sounds bad, but we are going to Petco tomorrow for some toys. I better not say that to the wrong person! LOL I think my hardest thing with all of this is not understanding his drive. I just wish I could somehow understand what he is going through in his world! Guest guest
Tammy, I didn't write that! I hope you weren't offended. Yes, I believe at some point Gage will have to be medicated. Definitely now if his self mutiliation hadn't stopped (at one point he had completely picked off his nipples). Carla

Angel couldn't squeeze baby squeeky toys when she was a baby she didn't have enough strength, so she had doggie toys to lol and you know something else for the longest time I have a huge dog carrier in their room why because blind children do not nest enough. When we had our dog she and the dog would stay in that carrier that was Angel's play house. So I threw the door away so noone could misunderstand and make up stuff. when we got rid of the dog we kept it as her play house. I had support of her vision teacher though. So when you do something " strange " get it documented and get support from professionals so if it comes back to haunt you you are backed up 100%. Guest guest
i would suggest u go to a dentist and get hijm some kind of mouth plate fitting that he could bite on and as for the tube put duct tape where he bites if u can. my son use to bite his clothes all the time and i took some of the nail biting stuff rubbed it on my hands and then onto his shirts after a few times of the awful taste he quit. i know in u situation it maybe a lil different. i am sure a good dentist may be able to offer a temporary solution terri mother of joseph,asd/pdd-nos, severe asmatic mom of chris moderate ADHD & epileptic
