Guest guest
Dear Tarek, Welcome to the group! I have found Original_Kombucha group to be cordial, informative and supportive and am so glad to be here, too. Whether you know a little or a lot about kombucha, you have found a place with a lot of interchange of questions, ideas and experience. It's been wonderful for me. I can't speak to your kombucha-autism question, but I do know several mothers who have had amazing success through using the Salt/C protocol for Lyme. I never would have connected the dots, and am not saying that all autism can be corrected this way, but it would be so worth your time to check out www.liafoundation.org (Lyme Induced Autism). Tami Duncan is the founder. There are several protocols featured on this site that might be of interest. Another fantastic resource is www.childrenofdestiny.org, created by parents of a child with autism. If you like, they will send out daily prayers written especially for parents and family friends of children with autism. I love these prayers! I love to pray them for my friends who are affected by autism and also for my own family and other friends who do not live with autism but have other difficulties. The prayers are quite transferable and perfect for those times when you might be too weary or ill or discouraged to think of what you want to say on your own. Please feel free to email me any time, if you would like. Bright hope for you and your family -- Warmly, Lois Baur > > Hi > > > > This is my first day with this list, and I am happy to be in this group. > > > > Is there any one had tried to use Kombucha tea with autistic boy? Guest guest
One of our members, Ed, recently talked about kefir and kombucha not really performing the same functions in our bodies. You may want to read his post and see. Personally I think one should drink kefir AND kombucha. JMHO. His concluding statement was this: " My point is that IMHO, that kombucha as a source of beneficial bacteria and yeasts is more of a " pre-probiotic " - useful for cleaning out the house. (more Yang, in Traditional Chinese Medicine) Other natural and easy to make at home cultures - like kefir, are a superior source of probiotics - after the house has been cleaned and its time to rebuild. (more Yin, in Traditional Chinese Medicine) " Go here to see the entire posting of what Ed said re: kombucha vs. kefir: _kombucha tea/message/31076_ (kombucha tea/message/31076) There is an awesome kefir group that you can join that is FILLED with information and very friendly. If you would like to check it out go here: _Kefir_making/_ (Kefir_making/) Dom, the owner/moderator is very, very knowledgeable. Guest guest
HI - we have been doing the fermented young coconut water YCK for about 2 months - i am waiting for urine tests to see if the yeast levels have dropped - from what i understand about milk kefir - it is best to be raw milk that is fermented - and that it is best to used after you spend sometime on the YCK - you may want to look at the BodyEcologydiet website - i will tell you that they do not support kombucha usage and i think it is b/c they question whether there is some contamination in the kombucha process - someone else on the site will have to address this issue - i am way to knew to Kombucha to have any reliable information - but i do choose to give my son small amounts of Kombucha - especially when i am low on YCK - or did not get a chance to make another batch - i for one drink both daily - i first had a major yeast die off - that lasted about a week - i was miserable than it cleared - i believe my son also had a die off - he was flapping like crazy for a week and then it subsided - he has been very affectionate lately lisa --------------------------------- Boardwalk for $500? Guest guest
My son who is 12 also has Asperger's and Prater Willi Syndrome. He drinks 12-16 ozs of KT a day and about 8 ozs of milk kefir in a smoothie. He was also violently allergic to milk as an infant and has no reaction to the milk kefir.
