Question for diabetics

I'm still knocking around the idea concerning benefits of kombucha

for my diabetic husband.

My husband is considering taking the diabetes drug Metformin.

I read on a website today that reports have found evidence that the

medication leads to the buildup of lactic acid in the blood in people

with moderate kidney or heart disease (neither of which he has, but

still at risk).

As I understand it, kombucha contains lactic acid.

Are there any diabetics here taking Metformin?

Should this be a concern?

I suspect this is way too complicated to address here, but does

anyone have any experience with this?
