Guest guest
Hey guys, I know those of you will rember last year about this time, I went to my daughter's Rebel Americans Spring concert, and I told this story about how I went to the bathroom and almost kocked my fool self out in the small stall trying to wipe my hiney. Well, tonight I went in the same bathroom, and my firt thought was that they remodeled the bathrooms....LOL. Because I wiped my hiney with ease....LOL. I know not a big milestone....LOL....But important to me. The chairs also must have been remodeled also, because I wasn't crammed into them...LOL, and I wasn't right up against Tom. Funny, this time last year I can remember thinking that I wished time would go by because this was the last year I'd go to her functions as big as I was. Thank God I was right. I'm not that much smaller, but I can see a big difference in the way I feel and the things I can do. I can't imagine what another 100 lbs lost will do to me(besides making me crazy when trying to buy clothes!!!) If it weren't for the neck and upper back pain, I'd think of going back to work. I talked to my doc about it, and she still feels that the pain won't get significantly better because of where it is located, and she thinks there is soft tissue damage that is causing the spasms(on top of the fibro and all). I worked in the yard with Tom, and remembered why I don't do that much....LOL. I hurt all night long and couldn't sleep due to pain. But I just felt so good. but again, that has always been the problem, I can do most anything, I just pay for it later. Sometimes worse than others. Anyway, enough griping for now, The night was nice, and I can definately tell there is a difference in sitting with less padding. My butt is killing me from sitting for so long. Right on my tailbone! Is this what others were talking about? The hair is still coming out. May need a wig soon,....LOL. Maybe I'll go blonde now(Not!!) I guess I'll go for now, It was no hike up diamond head, but a good accomplishment for now. in Bama http://hometown.aol.com/mdl1031/myhomepage/profile.html Surgery- RNY to DS revision on12/6 -377.5 12/17 - 346.5 ( minus 31lbs) 01/15- 338.1 (minus 39.1lbs) 02/12-330.0 (minus 47.5 lbs) 04/06- 324.3 (minus 53.2 lbs) 05/02- 311 (minus 66.5 lbs) 05/12- 304.8 (minus 72.7 lbs)-BMI now

Guest guest
I had a milestone last week. (I can't remember if I posted this!) I took my " adopted " son to lunch--Chinese food. They asked if we wanted a table or a booth, and said, " Booth. " So, we took one. I went and filled my plate (ONLY protein!!!!!!) went to the booth and sat down. I got into the booth with no problem. When Josh came to the booth and sat down, he asked if I had enough room, and reached to pull the table closer to him. It wouldn't move. I said, actually, I cot in with no problem. Josh replied, " Well I don't doubt it; you are about 3 sizes smaller than when we went out last month. " That is the first time he has said anything about my weight loss. I asked if he though I was smaller (he doesn't know why I had surgery), and he said, " yes, Jim, you've lost a LOT of weight. " So, Mel wiped her butt, and I got in the booth. Jim Re: MY night...... Guest guest
life is just to cool. it is so hard to see the wt loss for ourselves so it is so great when it comes from someone else Amber In Hawaii gastric stapling 1989 lost 40# D.S. Guest guest
Sandi, my friends and I went through that at a local Dennys and I've never gone back since. They tried to stick 6 of us (all good sized adults) in a tiny corner booth. We walked out but complained loudly to the manager first. It's so aggravating to be treated with ignorance. I'm sorry you experienced that. Tracey > Milestones.....I don't post that often in reply to people's milestones, but I do read them with great pride. I am looking forward to milestones of my own that will make up for a lifetime of discrimination and humiliation. > Here's to everyone's milestones! > Sandi

A couple of them went to far as to open a closed section and assign us a waitperson because that's the only area they had tables. We've had similar luck at Carrows, Bakers' Square, I-HOP, and Lyons. During our kitchen remodeling, we hit a local Denny's so often, when we walked in the door the greeter or head waitperson would wave to us from wherever they were in the resturant, basically telling us to grab a couple menues and seat ourselves at our " normal " table. They even brought our drinks without having to ask. (Does that mean we were going there way too much?) Again, you need to use that Bondish phrase, " Table, not booth. " See if that helps, Jerry
