I dumped my brew

Forgive me, I lied. I said I wouldn't drive you guys nuts with any more

posts about my brew.

I have tea cooling now. I even boiled the sugar like some recipes said.

I didn't before because most recipes I read never said to do anything

but dissolve the sugar in the tea. Do you boil the sugar? I did not

use that Chinese decaf green tea! I bought organic green tea

(w/caffeine).

I dumped the one small brew completely. I saved about 1 qt of the

other. There is still time to dump it completely if you post to me to

do so in the next hr. The reason I decided to go ahead after all and

dump it was my scobies weren't growing. The thing I was happy about

finding on The Balancing Act about slow brews said it was ok if the

scobies were growing, I didn't catch that the first time.

I hope my scobies are ok. I threw the one baby out, because it was

seriously stunted.

It's a good thing I am a hardheaded German otherwise I would be in tears

and quit altogether. Ok, so I cried a little bit this morning, but it

wasn't all over my KT (I am herxing from the Lyme disease and sometimes

that includes being emotional). [: " >]

Oh, I put one bottle of it in the fridge to see what it tastes like

cold, because it taste similar to gingerale warm.

I used that tea for the other scoby. So, I just brewed some more and

it is cooling. If anybody has any advice about whether I should dump

the rest of my brew or not please let me know.
