Guest guest
Hi Peggy, You are so right! I have been thinking about this too long, I just couldn't think (even now I can't find the word(s) to express what I mean). I did dump it. I thought if something is possibly wrong with it why contaminate this next brew (and suffer longer :oP ). Thanks for your input, jan > > Jan, > I am not one of the pros on the list, but my instinct tells me that since you seem to really be agonizing over this (and causing your poor bod who knows what kind of distress?), why not throw it all out and start over fresh, clean, and new? I can't imagine that saving what you have is worth your peace of mind. > > Kindest regards, > Peggy

Guest guest
I'm sure you've done the right thing. Keep us apprised of the new, reformulated, terrific brew! I just had to jettison a gallon of KT I was trying to resurrect with an old, old scoby with lots of yeast and stuff. It just started to grow some fuzzy mold after 8 days. I've got straight vinegar in the jar now, letting it get nice and clean before putting my lovely brew from baby Huey that I just got last week from Rae in it. At the time, I only had a half gallon jar (bought at Cost Plus - really nice with a top as wide as the jar itself - baby Huey fit perfectly!), but when he finishes this half gallon KT, I'll use my newly clean gallon jar for his pure strains and keep the half gallon jar for my hotel. Sound like a plan? Just topped up my other gallon of KT with some new tea - going to try continuous brewing. Wish me luck! Thanks to everyone who has posted questions re. the continuous brew, and to all the pros who have answered, I think I'll be OK. Good luck to you, Jan!
