Bruce,

Unlike most of my clients, it took me at least 6 sessions to see any increase

over 1% or 2% with nIR HEG. What I did was change the scale on the threshold so

I could see the subtle changes. That helped reduce the frustration.

Pete's recent advice to me was not to give up on HEG too quickly.

I hope this helps,

Bill

I wanted to start out using the unit by training HEG on Fp1.

Bruce,The A1 is the original version of the Pocket Neurobics--it used infrared communication between the amplifier and the computer (which never worked very well). It sounds like you are using it as a standalone device, without BioExplorer or a computer.  That should still be useful.

You seem to be saying that when you start a session, no signal appears on the screen.  If the batteries are okay and the red light in the nIR headband is on, there should be a signal.. Unfortunately it's been 6 years or more since I used the A1, and the menu system has been upgraded several times since then.  I would suggest that you contact Minder Labs, makers of the Pocket Neurobics devices and verify with them that you are using the correct menu settings. I'm new to NF so I don't know if I'm saying this right, but I can't get the diplay to move in the correct direction.

There is nothing wrong with the machine. It works fine. The problem is I have no control over my cerebral blood flow and I have no idea how to make it increase.

The A-1's hooked up correctly, the batteries are fresh, I can access all the protocols and screens, change the screen contrast, etc.

My problem is, When I am hooked up to the machine, I cannot increase my

regional cerebral blood flow, rCBF. Proof of that is the screen display never moves.

How can I get started moving the display in the right direction?

thanks in advance for any advice
