Hi,

I have a brother with photographic memory. As far as I know, it is an inborn

trait. He could take apart (and put together) clocks, engines, memorize whole

pages quickly, words from songs, great musical memory.

He mostly hid these traits from others, not wanting to seem odd.

I don't know that it made him a happier person.

It would be interesting if there was a means of training this.

People who possess supra intellectual abilities, such as 's brother, Einstein and Shakespeare, contain more glia cells in their brains than the average person.  This, of course, is genetically pre determined. So, unless neurofeedback can somehow increase glial cell production, I don't think that neurofeedback will be able to do what you seek.  However, that doesn't mean it can't improve someone's memory from where it currently is. Just like with sprinting, all of the training in the world isn't going to make just anyone the fastest person in the 100 meter dash. However, with training, that person can definitely improve their time and thus, get faster.
