Happy Fall, Braintrainers...

I've been working for awhile with an 87 year-old man who suffers from severe

depression and anxiety. He is very bright, but has been care-giving for 40

years (his mother, and now his wife) and has expressed both suicidal and

homicidal thoughts (though he says he will not act on them). He is a dear man,

and I've been working closely with his Social Worker. The wife has alzheimer's

and arthritis, and is at a point where she is not really coherent enough to

notice this gentleman's absence, but he simply cannot bring himself to get

help/relief from the services that are available to help him with the

caregiving.

We did LENS for awhile, and he brightened up for several weeks doing that and a

combination of T3///T4. It then faded. I've now done a TLC. Here are the

notable points outside of hot temporals and reversals and alpha not blocking:

T/B ratios are low everywhere, except EO and task in Frontal, F7/F8 and

Temporals. Here, the levels range grom 3.56-22.34! I have never seen this.

Mostly, they're around 9.0.

His Alpha Peak Frequencies are very solid high 10s. Is this " too high " for this

age and considered anxiety range? Or is it okay? Beta PF is high alot,

EO/task.

Coherences are in the 80s and 90s for Alpha and Theta, in front and temporals.

This in combination with the high T/B ratios there makes me question eyeblink,

artifact?? Or...something else?

" Maps " page shows lit up points at Fz and Oz in 23-38.

Thank you for any suggestions you may have. I see this man as really a very

" young " 87, and alot left to " live " . He is up for alternative treatments and

finding help, but also sees " catastrophe " (either he or his wife dying) as a way

out...
