Guest guest
Not sure if there is actual proof rescriptor boosts lexiva. Didnt see any studies in pubmed. Rescriptor package insert shows it boosts area under curve, maximum and minimum concentrations substantially for saquinavir, crixivan and nelfinavir. Rescriptor is an inhibitor of CYP3A isoform like norvir so it is a good assumption that it also boosts lexiva. It boosts a whole bunch of other drugs too, most likely due to this and other isoform inhibitions. The adverse reactions sound awful. Viramune has also similar adverse effects in a small number of people, which can be life threatening. If interrupted, it needs to be restarted at a lower dose each time. Taking two drugs with similar, albeit rare side effects, may very well increase the likelihood of these side effects. Just like it might increase the liver side effects. I guess giving up viramune's hdl raising benefit would be the wise thing to do. But then it is easier to let go since norvir's deleterious lipid effects will also be gone. Thanks for walking through with this guys...:-) > Does your doctor have evidence that rescriptor actually boosts > lexivia?
