My thoughts on silikon micordroplet technique, my results

I have pretty much given up on this for me, I have had at least 8 or 9 treatments and very little if any visible results. I do have a few little areas I can feel, but no real results that I can see. Now that being said I have heard many people say it works for them, so maybe its just my genetics or something. I know sculptra works for some better than others. I have gone to probably the only doc trained to do this that I know of in Ga, and if nothing else the one with the best reputation and I know its not his fault. I do think maybe he is a little conservative with the application, he did not really feel I needed it to begin with. I had been using Sculptra and looked okay, but just not myself. I was hoping to get a little more roundness in my cheeks with the silikon, but really no difference for me.

That being said I returned to using Sculptra for the once a year or so "touch ups" and I no longer get any results with this either. I have not reverted back to the way I was before treatment, but I have seen much better results in other patients, again it may be my genetics. I also have a sneaking feeling it may even have a little to do with an antibiotic I was put on for Acne called "Doryx". Since I started using it a few years ago none of the treatments seem to do much. I did a little online research and find one of the things Doryx is known to do, is prevent the overproduction of collagen. (it also helps prevent the breakdown of normal collagen which is confusing). I do know its now used for some with Scleroderma which is that skin hardening disease where they overproduce collagen, so I do not think I am totally crazy to ponder if this is why my results are not very good now. When I save up for my next Sculptra injections I will be going off Doryx just to see if this helps.

Anyone on here also on Doryx and using Doryx, just wondering...See what's new at AOL.com and Make AOL Your Homepage.
