Liz,To increase alpha as a percent of the total brain activity, the alpha % up design is good.  You can also train a squash (2-38 Hz inhibit) with a reward band of 6-13, 8-12 or 9-14 (depending on whether your alpha is fast or slow and how your 7 Hz levels are.  AlphaUp is more related to increasing peak frequency in alpha.  Alpha coherence or alpha gamma synchrony are good for improving connectedness in the alpha frequency.  If you have a specific issue (e.g. lots of high-beta and little alpha in back), you could try a one inhibit one reward design.

To set it up in the Pendant:Open BioExplorer and open the design.Turn on the Pendant and get it Connected in the BE window.Click the play button.Pete-- Van Deusenpvdtlc@...

Pete,Do you think you could help me use the attached design? There are no design notes and I have some questions.  (attached is a screenshot of my husband hooked up at CZ (probably the wrong site?) -- the design is1C Alpha Percent Up with Beats --

Why is the threshold measured in " m " when you are going for an increased *percent* of alpha (I assume as compared to the percents of the other frequencies)? When the counter counts, what exactly has been achieved?

Also, as for midi: what events correspond to the different midi notes? At first he achieved the lower register, but later higher midi notes were sounding. Is *each* note set up to correspond to a certain percentage of alpha, or what exactly is the situation there?

Another thing: I'm not sure how to read the Trend graph. As for binaural beats: we didn't hear any. Could it be that there are certain sounds I need to download separately into Media? If this is true, and I do that, will they play automatically just by putting them into Media?

Thank you for your patience with me! I'm really trying to get this now (as opposed to my tendency toward avoidance). If anybody else knows the answers and has a little energy to type, I would love to hear from you.
