Guest guest
Dear Group Earlier this year I decided to diet to get rid of love handles. I was very determined and ate smaller portions of a balanced dirt, no sweets, not too many carbs, lots of veggies and fruits. I am 5'8 and have been around 150-15 most of my adult life. Around the same time, I began taking more anti-depression /any anxiety drugs, adding welbutrin to my then staple of effexor. After a 4-6 weeks, i lost about 15 pounds. I now have no lovehandles which has made me very happy. About 4-6 weeks after i began th diet, i had extreme pain that turned out to be a huge kidney stone that required a couple of operations. The stone was uric acid based. The urologist said it is not related to my diet or to hiv meds-which are reytaz, truvada, and norvir. Now it's six months since I started the diet/change in eating habits. Lately I have been bit nauseas after i eat. I had the sickness the week before last. I went to my doc (hiv internist ) and my liver and pancreas checked out fine. The sickness is still there , bit is much less severe. Some people are asking me if I a ok and are a bit worried. Now I am a bit concerned because in all my yeas of trying to lose weight, i never was able to keep it off. Plus my face is a bit too thin and so i am considering getting a filler (i have gotten them before though not for hiv facial wasting -just sun damage and aging). I am starting to wonder whether my body is now processing fat differently or if I have some serious medical condition. I have never been sick from HIV =I caught it just before it would have struck, and i was undetectable as of earlier this month and with highest counts and % ever. Can anyone come up with any ideas what might be happening or have you experienced this type of change which I had hoped was good. I will go bck to h doctor but wanted too see what you guys might think from experience AOL now offers free email to everyone. Find out more about what's free from AOL at AOL.com.
