After reading Beth Ann's post it reminded me of being sick a lot as a kid and

how it might have something to do with my son's illness.

(My son is 2 years old and is suspected of having , which is why I joined

this wonderful group).

I am 42 and was very sick with fevers, sore throats, tonsillitis ALL through my

childhood. It didn't start calming down in frequency until I was around 15 y.o.

No one diagnosed me with anything besides tonsillitis, occasional strep, etc.

But being that I grew up during the years of 'the Dr.'s being pioneers of

reducing the amount of T & A surgeries', I was told by specialist after specialist

that they recommended NOT to do a T & A (even though my mom begged them).

Well, when I hit 32, I started getting more frequent fevers and tonsillitis

attacks again, even tonsil lithes (tonsil stones)and FINALLY got T & A surgery.

And for 10 years, I've been free of all of it !

I spent my WHOLE LIFE sick and wish it had been done when I was 3, instead of

33. I missed out on sooooo much and most of my childhood memories are blended

in with memories of constant sickness :( It's actually depressing for me to

look back sometimes. I even had tonsillitis for my honeymoon!

IF it comes down to my son being recommended for getting T & A done to try to get

rid of , from my own personal life experience - I just know I'll be

scheduling it ASAP. I'm not saying that everyone should just do it, just that

it would be my choice to.

Anyway, just sharing and wondering if any of you parents suffered similar

illness and whether you think it's related. My baby's pediatrician thinks it

possibly is.
