I am a mom of a beautiful 22 month old girl, she has been having

fevers since just after her 1st b-day...at least that is the one i

remeber most as it ended us in the emergency room after she had a

febrile seizure. After much testing, blood work, x-rays, stool

samples, urine, cat scans etc they finally sent us to a speciality

childrens hopstial where they after 2 visits 3 months apart finally

diagnosed her with .

She has had fevers as high as 105. They have been as close as 19 days

apart and no more than 30 days apart. She is currently on cimetidine

4x/day, we had one really good month where her fever only got to 101

and she played and acted fairly normal through the short 2 day cycle

of it. We got hopeful that the medicine was working, but she is

having fevers again...5 days long, lethargic, poor appetite etc. I

hadn't really made the connection of behavior problems as she is

generally a very well behaved child but i do notice she does get more

fussy and irritable around the time of her cycle. I look forward to

keeping up with the latest research and experiences of others dealing

with this condition. As some months i just feel i can't take one more

fever, it's exhausting for both her and myself. during her cycles she

doesn't sleep through the night, doesn't nap during the day , doesn't

want to do anything buy lay on me and cry. !

thanks in advance for all the information!

, mom of Breanna 22 months, fevers since 12 months.
