Guest guest
The U.S. Government is sponsoring research to develop a vaccine for smallpox for HIV people. We can not take the previously developed vaccine because of our immune system. The government is doing more research on smallpox vaccines, which were stopped being given around 1972, because of the threat of smallpox being used in a terrorist attack. HIV people who have not been previously vaccinated for smallpox, mostly those born after regular vaccinations were discontinued are being sought for this HIV specific vaccine study. The study is being conducted in San Francisco (Benchmark Research)and several other cities. The study pays participants $700.I believe that the upper age limit is 55. The phone number for the SF study is 415-398-0173. The national toll free number for other sites is 800-369-2875. I am not employed by anyone connected to this research, but if you are interested, mention you were referred by Ed Brophy.
