Continued fevers after tonsillectomy?

I have a 3 yrd old who is believed to have . She's been having the fevers

(along with other symptoms) like clockwork at the beginning of every month.

We're beginning to research the various treatments for and I've read a lot

about tonsillectomy fixing the problem. I'm wondering how many people have had

this done only to find the fevers return? I really don't want to consider

putting her through a tonsillectomy until I know more. Thanks.
