I am new here. As I am going through some of the old posts I must say

the stories are so similar yet so different. To those of you who have

been dealing with this for long time I can not even begin to imagine

what you have been going through. Our story just started this June.

My son (2y 3m) at the time start fevering on our trip to Europe.

We were admitted to hospital there they drew his blood and his CRP

levels very very high so they treated him with antibiotics, 3 weeks

later the same story high fevers elevated CRP. I was told that the

high CRP means very strong inflation in his body. Another round of

antibiotics and never-ending testing. 2 hospitalization later we have

returned to US and had another episode since my son has been

complaining of knee pain my doctor was thinking about JAR, but wanted

to keep observing him. Another episode later my doctor was out of

town and I saw this young doctor (kind of reminded me of HOUSE), as

soon as he heard our story he mentioned to me periodic fevers. After

that I started to log the fevers and observe other symptoms. Except

for fevers our little guy gets geographic tongue. We saw ID

specialist in St.sburg he suggested the prednisone I just am

trying to get all the input about use of this one quite nervous using

it. What is your take on this is all the Tylenol/Motrin usage during

the fever episode compare to one=two dosage of prednisone better? I

am so glad to find this group here, to know we are not going crazy

and there are other parents like us out there.
