Guest guest
My mom - who has many Aspie traits - just told me something interesting today, which made me wonder if this is an Aspie trait too. As a teen she once went with her best friend to see a Tommy Steele concert in Stockholm. Much to her astonishment, the minute Tommy started singing the whole concert hall (girls mostly) started screaming hysterically at the top of their lungs so she couldn't hear a thing. And her best friend too! Totally puzzled, my mom said to her " What are you screaming for? Could you be quiet, please. " I asked, " But wasn't your friend mortified with embarrassment afterwards, having lost control of herself like that? " Mom: " Nope, she seemed to think this was perfectly normal. " Me: " Weird. " Mom: " Very. " Has anyone here ever been in such a situation, being swept into it in a crowd going into a frenzy? Or were you too the only cool one wondering what's up with everyone else?
