I am very confused and thinking maybe someone has had something similiar. Our

story below.

Started fevers at 3 months (swollen tonsils & stiff neck, no vomiting or mouth

sores, fever 105+)

Continued with cyclical fevers every 28-35 days

18 months diagnosed with . All genetic testing and other work ups

completed and everything is negative. No FMF, HIDS, etc..

30 months tried an anti-viral treatment for hyperacusis (hypersensitive) hearing

for three + weeks.

The fevers stopped during the anti-viral and after. We started getting normal

illnesses, croup, colds. etc. but no fevers.

We are now three and have not had a fever in over 10 months. We still continue

to get swollen tonsils and he looks pale with circles but no fevers or

infection in the tonsils. We have recently had some lower fevers without any

explanation that will come and go.

We are baffled and the doctors really won't say either way.

So my questions, do or did we actually have . Why would an anti-viral stop

the fevers. Why are we still experiencing some symptoms but no high fevers. My

doctor that did the anti-viral is convinced that they really do not know what

is.

Anyone have anything similar. We still suffer the throat stuff so have still

considered a T & A. When he gets sick, swollen tonsils his ear sensitivity goes

through the roof and he is super sensitive for many, many weeks and miserable.

I some how think it must all be related.

Thanks for any input.
