Modulating meaning what????? Unsticking the overdrive system doesn't make sense to me. Could I find out scientifically the explanation? I am a family nurse practitioner and feel I could handle the specific reasoning. I will not risk trying something that doesn't make good sense to me. Thanks, Lin

Hi Ellen,

I would be interested in reading that article if you

would please forward it. I have had RA for almost 28

years & with everything I have tried none of them seem

to really stop this disease. I am currently on

Enbrel,mtx injections,folic acid,mobic & ultram & am

quite disappointed that the Enbrel was not the

" miracle " that I had heard so much about. When I see

the rheumy in Dec. we will talk about what is next in

line since this is not working. I am willing to try

just about anything at this point!

God Bless, Barbara

I agree with you Lin. It doesn’t

make sense to me either. I would

like more of a scientific explanation, test trials etc..

Thanks,

Carla

Barbara,

Just wondering if you have ever heard of a company called Advocare. They

have 4-5 products that are great in reducing the effects of RA, some times

making them disappear forever. If you or anyone else would like information,

please let me know. They have work for several of my friends and I know that

they can help you too!

Hi Sue!

I’m so very sorry for your trouble in finding an understanding doctor.

Many of us have, or have had, troubles in getting a diagnose but your case

seem to win it all. I’m not sure at all that I and my youngest son Patric

ever had got the diagnose it hadn’t been for my eldest son Pierre who has

it more severe but had the luck to be sent to a doctor who was very

well-educated in CMT; she said he probably has CMT after have seen him

walk just a few steps. My father on the other hand has probably seen

hundreds of doctors of different kind for CMT-related problems but none

has ever discovered his CMT or at least sent him to a neurologist. He

still wants to believe that his feet are so deformed because he had to

wear too small shoes as a kid (which one doctor told him). When I was a

kid one doctor said to my parents that my funny way to walk would

disappear when I got old enough to get engaged (I’ve tried but sorry, it

didn’t help).

Have your sons got a diagnose for their problems? If not, would it be a

possibility to see doctors for them instead?

Many hugs, Rose-Marie

No Rose-Marie none of us have had a diagnosis because the odd times my boys have

had an appointment themselves I've been the one who has taken them and they all

seem to have family notes etc. They diagnose my boys as having CMT then they

have to give me the same diagnosis. I've had a geneticist and a neurologist say

that three generations of my family do have funny feet (me included) but they

can't say whether they are connected are not. This is when I give up on them and

move on to someone else....

But seriously I'm wasting my time in the UK now I have to go abroad for a

diagnosis of the commonest inherited neurological disease there is - and that

makes even less sense.

Love

Sue
