Guest guest Posted September 21, 2008 Report Share Posted September 21, 2008 Hello! I am a mom of two kids (age 4 and 22 mo.) who have a history of cyclical fevers. My 4 year old daughter had a pattern of unexplained fevers every four weeks from 9 months until she was 3 1/2. Not sure if this was related or not, but we noticed her fevers decrease significantly when she had her adenoids removed (for an unrelated issue). My 22 month old son has been having unexplained fevers every seventeen days for the last four months. My kids' pediatrician has finally decided it is time for further testing, so my son went to a Rheumatologist about a month ago to explore some of the periodic fever syndromes. We should hear in the next few weeks about those results. I am really just searching for answers. With both kids, they get frequent fevers with no one else being sick right before or after them. I appreciate the information on this site, as well as hearing from other parents who are going through similar struggles! It is heartbreaking to see your kids get such high fevers so often.
