Guest guest Posted September 22, 2008 Report Share Posted September 22, 2008 Our son, , is a beautiful 15 month old boy. He began getting fevers at 6 mos old and right after he had the RSV virus. It hasnt seem to stop since. They ended up diagnosing him with . He gets them about every 18 days. He is taking Cimetidine and Prednisone when the fever gets high. Is anyone else concerned with giving Prednisone and has anyone seen side effects? Right now it seems to take the fever away in 2 hours and he can return to a " normal " routine. How frequently are you all giving the prednisone? I am also wondering, are all of your children really healthy and typically developing in between fevers? I am really hoping this will not effect his long term development. I have never worried so much in my life! I am so glad to have found parents going through the same thing!!
