I have been diagnosed for 5 months and am getting worse daily. I have never been depressed a day in my life (or sick) and I am now falling into depression. My doctor prescribed me Paxal last week so we are trying that and I think you will find that the people in this group are fantastic. If you have a question they can answer it. Don't get too down - but when you do - we are here. In Houston cynthia (2) Profile Roy Sandison Name: Roy Sandison Email: SANDISONR@... I still at the point of denial - with a belief that I will snap out of it and just have the occasional ache and pain. My consultant saved my life - at a time when i was in hospital my partner being advised that I might not the morning according to the Critical Illness Team (With one of the doctors holding her hand). I saw at least 20 doctors, had loads of morphine and everything else you can think off until my Consultant (Dr Coppock) appeared to take control and gave me Steroids. Slowly the severe pain became less and the paralysis reduced. Dr Coppock has continued that support since. I am back at work - and finding it difficult and too be honest VERY worried about the future and if A pushing myself too far! I will finish now because talking about what is happening to me is very depressing.
