ally had her T& A monday update and question

Hi everyone,

Ally had her surgery on monday.Everything went well and the dr said

that her tonsils were enlarged but that was all. My question is today

she has been throwing up, I think that she is having mucus draining

into her stomach and that may be the cause has anyone else had this

expirience with vomiting a couple days after surgery? thank you!

We did not have that problem with Tyler.  Is she on any type of pain medicine? 

They gave Tyler tylenol with codeine.  He did not like it...he had bad dreams

and overall felt terrible on it.  I only gave it to him one evening and early

the next day.  Codeine can cause vomitting in some people.  That's all I can

think of...keep us informed.  Hope all gets better for her.

Hi Francesca

I just wanted to add to Nick's e-mail that both our son and niece gagged from

the mucas but neither had vomitting. I was told that a couple days after

surgery the kids are afraid to swallow and sometimes will gag but I would play

it safe and call the dr.

We wish Ally a speedy recovery!! :-)
