Guest guest
My 18 month old daughter had been fevering recurrently since very young- had periodic fevers with no mouth sores, diagnosed with Periodic Fevers of Unknown Origin this summer. Anyway, she just got sick again last week, had all the symptoms of another episode (trouble sleeping, eating, irratable)but temp only made it to 100 - 101. But she started drooling profusely which was weird, and I looked in her mouth saw that she had a dime-size red circular ulcer on her tongue which was very painful to her. Took her to the pediatricain, he did not know if it was caused from a virus or maybe she is beginning to get ulcers due to the periodic fever syndrome evolving. He basically said there is nothing I could do but just wait until it goes away. So my question: What do the ulcers from look like? How are they different from hand, foot and mouth virus ulcers or other virus sores? Thanks,
