Guest guest
Hey there once again! I have come before to the group about my fiances current medical conditions and your responses have been great! So, I come forth once again for some advice. He's current under the eye of an infectious diease doc at the VA- TOGUS here in Maine. He is truly sincere and straight forward with Adam, however since we switched to his care his CD4 counts have progressively gotten worse. He did go thru a rough winter - 7 weeks of inpatient hospitatlization at the VA. In January his CD4 count was 54 - I suggested that he start on the Selenium (in addition to his current med regiman)600mg per day and we just got his count back for April and its down to 11!! We are in complete shock and his doc even stated that he has no idea how he is managing to be home and not hospitalized yet again... Every AM he wakes up dry heaving and even worse when he takes his pills - although for the past 2 weeks he has been able to subside the nausea and dry heaving enough to keep down his meds. Any suggestions about be great, I am thinking about suggesting HAART treatment or treatment elsewhere, any suggestions would be great! We are at a stand still w/ what to do or where to go from here ( Thanks in advance ~kelli~
