Hi :I’m glad to hear that you are doing well on K-PAX . We continue to get reports from all quarters about the improvement in energy levels and CD4 cell counts in people who start on K-PAX. I have attached an email below from a well-respected patient advocate in Canada whose been stable at 350 cells for several years who increased to over 600 cells 4 months after substituting K-PAX for his previous supplements.While this magnitude increase doesn’t happen in every single person, it is a consistent and predictable effect. I am currently trying to get ADAP and Medicaid programs (beyond NY) to provide for coverage when K-PAX is prescribed by a physician.I am also in discussions with a group in Canada that wants to do another clinical trial. This is important since, to get widespread insurance coverage, K-PAX will need to have more than one study showing its benefits.At least it is currently available for people who can afford it. My goal is to see K-PAX become the first micronutrient supplement that gets FDA approval and insurance reimbursement to treat HIV infection (in combination with HAART).I know that’s a tall order but, if something provides a significant and proven benefit to the health of people with HIV infection, it should be covered!Please let me know if there is any additional information I can provide you with to assist you in your efforts.Regards,Jon KaiserJon I just got lab work back this afternoon from my GP Goodhew.The results are, well, rather amazing.I appear to have gone from 380 CD4 to 610. (last blood draw = Sept. 2006) wants me to have confirmatory blood work as the increase seemsincredibly high.I had zero T cells for over 5 years in the early 90s and have been stable ataround 310 to 350 for the last few years, so the only thing that has changedis the addition of K-Pax.We went over the original study results from your website which he foundquite interesting.Also, my percentage has increased from 22 to 25%.
