Guest guest
and I will be available for workshops in Great Britain this fall, probably in the first two weeks of October 2009. I'm including a description of my workshops below (open to users of Bioexplorer, Infiniti and other platforms as well). To learn more or express an interest in participating, please contact Foks at Foksfam@.... 's workshops can include:Offering1- FULL POTENTAL BIOEXPLORER (8 to 15 persons with Webinar Expansion Possibilities) 1 day- B.E. for statistics and reports. 1 day- B.E.design creation (planning, Signal Diagram, Layout- TESTING) 1 day- B.E. server and flash developer practical overview. Offering2- Training HRV and EMG peripheral biofeedback with your EEG unit 2 day- Practical with the first day HRV including GSR and EEG correlates. second day is EMG. NOTE: there is no unit limit! Can be any NF unit or an advanced Pete's workshops: The Neurofeedback Practicum Course This modular series of 1-day hands-on workshops is designed to meet the needs of participants from a wide range of training platforms and levels of experience. It is presented by one of the field’s most experienced trainers and developer of the TLC Assessment—a widely used assessment alternative to the QEEG, which focuses specifically on developing training plans at a low cost. Day1: Performing the Assessment--For those interested in having their own training plans from which to work, to compare with QEEG results or to use in the following days. This 1-day workshop will review the process of gathering data for a basic TLC Assessment (subjective and objective). Participants will then work in pairs to experience the data collection process both as trainer and as client. BioExplorer or Infiniti users who have the necessary files will use their own equipment; users of other systems will work with trainers from these platforms or will use one of the units provided by the trainers. (a sample TLC Assessment which opens in Excel is available upon request). Day2: Identifying Brain Activation Patterns—For trainers wishing to learn more about the brain’s activation patterns as a guide to training with any system. All participants will view and receive several TLC Assessments to follow during the workshop—and those who completed Day1 will be able to follow on their own assessments. The course reviews frequency/state relationships, the crucial connection between autonomic tone and cortical EEG patterns, and an organized system for classifying key patterns (identified in QEEG research) that may be found and trained in a client’s brain. Each pattern is presented in terms of its location(s), its likely source, its symptom constellations and some suggested training options. More advanced approaches, such as “skimming” the brain, may also be covered briefly. Day3: Training the brain—For trainers on any platform wishing to learn more about differential approaches to using neurofeedback with various client/problem types. This didactic workshop will cover topics such as eyes-closed vs. eyes-open vs. task-based training; continuous vs. contingent feedback and combining the two options; training designs for speeding up vs. slowing down the brain, including session and segment length, trainer activity and ancillary options to support training. Approaches for tracking and reporting training results will also be covered. Day4: Experiential Training—For trainers who have completed a training plan and wish to practice the materials presented in previous workshops as trainers and as clients. This workshop will provide supervised experience of the training process oriented specifically to the participant’s own goals. Each participant will perform a session as trainer and one as client both in the morning and afternoon sessions with group discussion following each period related to the trainee’s experience of the protocol and the trainer’s interention. Optional: BrainPrime—For trainers interested in aging and the brain with special focus on training approaches to work with the large and growing population of older adults. This workshop focuses on research on aging effects in the brain as shown in the EEG, research on what the aging brain is capable of achieving and demonstrated effects of specific types of training. An approach to working with those above 55 years of age to prevent deterioration or help to reverse it is presented. The BrainPrime program is also outlined as a way of marketing to this population. -- Van Deusenpvdtlc@...http://www.brain-trainer.comUSA 305 433 3160BR 47 3346 6235 The Learning Curve, Inc.
