Guest guest
I'm wondering if neurofeedback is ever paired with other types of therapy and whether or not combining treatment is effective. Guest guest
I do neurofeedback and counseling together if possible. Some do not like to do both together but I feel that neurofeedback and counseling together gives optimum results for certain conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma, alcoholism, etc.. If I had to choose one or the other, I would say that neurofeedback on its own gives better results than counseling alone.   I do more counseling in the beginning and after about 10 sessions or so, counseling takes a back seat. In the first 10 sessions, once you get the right protocol, the client will realize things that they did not see before and sometimes they need help working through them.  Connie From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of amanda alders Sent: Friday, January 15, 2010 9:08 AM Subject: Re: Trainer in West Palm I'm wondering if neurofeedback is ever paired with other types of therapy and whether or not combining treatment is effective. Guest guest
Thanks, Connie. I'm getting my PhD in art therapy/ counseling and have contacted a local neurofeedback center to see if I can combine treatments for my dissertation with the elderly for cognitive performance. Have you done any work using EEG for cognitive performance?Kind Regards, E.M.
