Guest guest
, glad you are back in the group for however long you can stay. I too do the disappearing act (usually while traveling, but then it takes a long time to get back in the swing of things.) As to the meds: I keep a running log on the computer, that I update before going to any doc. I'm attaching a copy of the current list. Prescription meds are on top, the rest are OTCs and vitamins etc. Hope that the list is useful. At this point my major symptoms are under very good control. The only real problem is in my right wrist (which often prevents me from typing) and we are working on it now with the Naproxin, ice, and partial immobilization. Stay well Ann K Med ?'s and Info > Hello Everyone, > > I was wondering if anyone would feel comfortable sharing with the group or > me personally, all meds that you are currently taking and for what? Guest guest
Hi - I cheerfully will share my meds because, for the first time in years, they are declining in number. About 4 months ago, I replaced enbrel with Kineret. Since then, I have stopped my Arava and my NSAID. I have also cut down the prednisone from 5 to 4, and soon, now to 3. I still take MTX, but hope to be able to reduce/eliminate that if i am succusseful at getting off the prednisone. I no longer need hydrocodone for pain. I am on an ACE inhibitor for blood pressure, fosamax once/week for osteoporosis, and vitamin E, calcium with magnesium and vitamin D, a multivitamin, ester C and low dose aspirin. Whew - still seems like a long list, but it is getting shorter. If you intuitively feel that your meds aren't doing all you'd hope, think about trying kineret. It has been a far superior medication for me over the enbrel, remicade, and various combos. I am wondering if the IL1 (cytokine inhibitor) that is kineret might not really tune in to the cause of inflammation in Stills. I guess we will only know as more stilligans try it. Keep us posted on what, if any, changes you decide to make. Praising the wonders of medical science, Marcia

Guest guest
Dear Marilyn, Thanks for the med info. That is quite a list. I have a few questions about the meds you listed if you don't mind? What is the Cyclobenzaprine for? What side effects or allergic reaction did you have to the Hydroxychloroquine? Thanks so much for the info. Love, jatw@... Guest guest
Dear Marcia, It is wonderful that you have been able to reduce your meds I can hear the hope and excitement in your post. The Kineret sounds like a med I should explore and possibly look in to. I know that the Arava and Enbrel have been the best meds I have been on. Unfortunately I had side effects from the Arava so I had to stop that med. Enbrel is helping quite a bit just not enough. It definitely is encouraging that I have responded much better to the newer meds. Thanks for the info. Love, jatw@...

Guest guest
Dear , Thanks for the info. I have a few questions if you don't mind. How well does the Flexeril work for the Fibro? Is this med a muscle relaxer? Does the Enbrel work as well for you at a lower dose than what is usually prescribed? Have A Wonderful Day! Love, jatw@...
