Guest guest
This brings to mind a general piece of advice: request and keep copies of your labs. You're entitled to them. You've paid for them (one way or another). Having copies can be valuable if you have to see another provider and there isn't time to request copies of your medical file. Basically you should know what your doctor has tested for because there are some doctors who neglect to do all appropriate tests. This is not uncommon, just as we continue to hear results of studies showing that large percentages of patients for various diseases don't receive the "standard of care" that is currently expected. Keeping track of your labs will be more meaningful if you go online to the many excellent resources which offer explanations of various lab results. Understanding what you're at risk for (from the meds you take, or your personal medical conditions) will provide you with an idea of what your doctor should be monitoring. __________________________________________________
