Guest guest
Hi All~ To add to a discussion about peak alpha and thyroid... I have been training a 71 year old woman for just over 4 months now. She has been on thyroid meds since she was 10 years old for hypo-thyroidism. She has been on the same dose of thyroid meds with the same doctor for about 20 years now. When we first started her initial assessment in November her peak alpha was 8.5 , and she did struggle with cognitive issues. Her cognitive issues made an already stressful fulltime job more difficult. In February I re-did the TLC and her peak alpha had gone up to 9.7 (and her cognitive issues had improved greatly as well as her ability to deal with the stress at work.) We did 6 or 7 different protocols but the 3 we trained most were T3T4g wide band , Fp1 A1 g F3 A1 2 ch WS (12-18) and P3 a1 g P4 A2 (L) 2 ch WS (10-15) The interesting part is that her doctor is perplexed at her thyroid count. When she started NF in Nov she was taking 60 mgs of thyroid meds 3 X a day. 2 months after starting NF he dropped her meds 50 % since her thyroid numbers had improved quite a bit. Just yesterday he dropped her meds down to 15 mgs 2 X a day because her thyroid numbers have continued to improve. The doctor cant explain why her thyroid would change/improve after 20 years when nothing else in her life has changed recently(except for doing NF, which she has not told him about). The only thing both she and I can think of is that NF training has kick started her thyroid. Has anyone ever heard of this happening? Thanks, ~
