Bayer Settlements for Yaz total in the hundreds of millions - Court date indefinitely postphoned

Dear friends, in preparation for some Fortnight talks, I stumbled upon this article http://www.drug-injury.com/druginjurycom/2012/04/yasmin-yaz-settlements-bayer-lawsuits-blood-clots-pe-dvt-court-cases-mdl-pa-nj.html Basically the article states that Bayer, the manufacturer of Yaz will be settling all its U.S. cases out of court -- there will be NO court cases. I find this very suspicious. Even Merck went to court over Vioxx, believing they had nothing to hide. If Bayer is just settling for hundreds of millions over Yaz, it seems to me this would be evidence that they knew the risk of developing clots on Yaz was
