*THINGS SEEM TO BE CHANGING BY THE MINUTE! PLEASE STAY TUNED FOR ANY

ADJUSTMENTS IN THIS LATEST EVENT-*

*SORRY ABOUT THE INCONVENIENCE, BUT IN POLITICS, ANYTHING CAN CHANGE AT ANY

TIME.*

GREGORY SCHMIDT.

PRES. MINNESOTA NATURAL HEALTH LEGAL REFORM PROJECT

*PLEASE DISTRIBUTE THIS WIDELY!!! BRING YOUR FAMILIES AND FRIENDS. COME ONE

COME ALL!!*

Raw Milkers and other Health Freedom Advocates:

A hearing for HF 255, the Raw Milk Access Bill, has been scheduled for

*Wednesday,

May 11th at 10:00 a.m.* The hearing is scheduled in the House *Agriculture

Committee in the Basement Hearing Room in the State Office Building*. Take

the elevator or stairs down to the basement. You cannot go any further down

than the basement.

*We will be meeting outside the Basement Hearing Room in the **State** **

Office** **Building** starting one half hour before the start of the

meeting. *

*Please wear a WHITE blouse, t-shirt, sweater, etc. to the hearing. We will

have buttons for you to wear at the meeting. ($1 suggested donation to help

defray costs.)*

*PARKING*:There are many options for parking. Since the State Office

Building is on the west side of the Capitol Grounds, look for parking to the

north or west of the capitol. Aurora Street has many meters that are one

quarter for a half hour. University Avenue has meters with similar

rates. *Bring

Quarters.* If you park to the west of n Street, you can park for

free. If you wish to buy a pair of socks or some wrenches, you can consider

parking in the Sears Parking Lot. A map of parking is available on our

website: www.mnhlrp.org. Plan on it taking longer to find a spot and walk

to the State Office Building than you think it should.

PLEASE NOTE:

This is an INFORMATIONAL ONLY hearing. A vote will not be taken on the

bill. However, it is important for you to be there because if we fill the

room with supporters, the legislators will know how important this issue is

and that will carry some weight in terms of getting a hearing in the Senate.

The Commissioner needs to know that this is important enough to people that

they interrupted their day to come to the capitol. This bill is still alive

for next session if no vote is taken.

ALSO NOTE:

We have received word that the date, time, and location of the hearing can

be changed at a moment’s notice. In addition, it is possible that the

hearing won’t happen at all, if they cannot find a room for other hearings

on bills which will receive a vote. We will try to keep you informed of any

changes. HOWEVER, if a room change occurs, it will be posted outside of the

room. We will keep you posted of any changes as soon as we know. Be sure

to check out our web page (www.mnhlrp.org) or our Facebook page (

www.facebook.com/mnhlrp) for last minute changes.

You should not be discouraged by the fact that no vote will be taken. Rome

was not built in a day. It is a rare policy bill that is passed in one

session. There are many political and strategic reasons for having an

informational hearing.

MNHLRP is your face at the capitol on the Raw Milk Access Bill, as it has

been since the late 1990’s on other health freedom issues. (For example,

did you know that the reason your massage therapist can practice legally is

because of the work of MNHLRP?)

We are all very excited for his hearing. We expect a lot of people to be

there just out of curiosity. Oh, they really don’t have two noses from

drinking raw milk!!! (J) This is our chance to let the rest of Minnesota

hear our stories. We have a full slate of testifiers, who will be

presenting a variety of slants on why this bill should pass. There will

also be opposition. So large numbers in attendance is very important.
