Guest guest
Hello All, Thought i'd better introduce myself to the group, i have a 8 yr old boy BJ who was eventually diagnosed at7half with semantic pragmatic disorder and mild aspergers after i paid privately to see a consultant who specialised in asd. This was all due to the fact the NHS refused to LABEL him. At the moment he is going through collecting shiny metal objects even if they dont belong to him. Has anyone got any suggestions in helping him understand if he keeps stealing he will eventually go to prison. He does know right from wrong but he still CANNOT see the consequences of his actions. I ave tried getting a policeman to talk to him but he is still doing it. There a few things really i need to ask if it normal for my son to do these things. He constantly chews the sleeves of his school jumpers, but nothing else unless he is really anxious about something. His bedroom always looks as though a bomb has been dropped in there lol. And at the moment my partner and myself have a meeting 2moro with his speech therapist, paeditrician, senco teacher and form teacher. Due to the fact his speech therapist doesn't agree semantic pragmatic is a disorder and after seeing him for an hour he hasn't got aspergers syndrome.
