Guest guest
This pink slime is what they make chicken McNuggets out of. I have a picture of it being extruded. The animals that this is made of are not healthy but raised on factory farms in filthy, inhumane conditions. Oliver's " Pink Slime " I love what Oliver is doing (last night I watched the first episode of his time in LA). He is really bringing awareness to something that is a big issue: Nutrition in America. Did any of you watch this first episode? I wasn't sure what to think about his demo of " Pink Slime " . Leftover parts of the animal which are washed in ammonia, ground up, and added as a filler to meat. He said they contain really bad bacteria. What do you guys say about this? Couldn't you render that and take out the good fat? He said it was full of saturated fats and nasty, etc... I'm starting to feel that all parts of the animal have to be useful somehow, if the animal is healthy!
