Tonight we had a special treat, some pheasant gifted to me by a friend, from a

hunter whose wife apparently said " No more pheasant! "

I browned it in some bacon grease and then cooked it slowly with a little bit of

homemade chicken stock in a covered dutch oven under low heat. Before serving, I

stirred some sour cream into the juices to make a gravy.

We had it with soaked/fermented brown rice and some veggies.

For dessert, are baked granny smith apples, with raisins, crispy pecans, and

lots of cinnamon.
